Michigan DIFS Director Anita G. Fox Addresses Taiwan Insurance Institute Forum
On Tuesday, Aug. 20, Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services Director Anita G. Fox, chair of the VsportV体育鈥檚 Health Insurance and Managed Care (B) Committee, delivered keynote remarks at the Taiwan Insurance Institute鈥檚 鈥淓ast Asia Pacific Insurance Forum 2024鈥 in Taipei, Taiwan, regarding the regulation of health insurance in the United States.
In her presentation, Director Fox highlighted the evolution of health insurance in the U.S. and discussed the development of regulation both at the state and federal levels. Director Fox also focused on the steps U.S. state insurance supervisors are taking concerning the challenges facing health insurance, which include affordability, availability, marketing, and cyber security. Following her presentation, Director Fox joined a panel to address specific topics in more detail, including the Affordable Care Act marketplaces, cyber security, and long-term care insurance.
Ahead of the Forum, on Aug. 19, Director Fox met with representatives from Taiwan鈥檚 Financial Supervisory Commission to exchange views on the future of health insurance, including the development of 鈥渄igital insurers."
