VsportVÌåÓý Members Discuss Reinsurance and More at ABIR Dialogue
On Sept. 5–6, VsportVÌåÓý (VsportVÌåÓý) Members and staff participated in the Association of Bermuda Insurers & Reinsurers' (ABIR) 17th Annual International Insurance Regulatory Dialogue, which gathered over 60 policymakers and industry stakeholders for two days of discussions on key issues facing the insurance and reinsurance industries.
On his panel, VsportVÌåÓý President and Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Andrew N. Mais provided insights into the strength (and challenges) of the U.S. reinsurance market. VsportVÌåÓý Secretary-Treasurer and Rhode Island Department of Business Regulation Director Elizabeth Kelleher Dwyer discussed the impact of women leaders in the insurance industry, and VsportVÌåÓý Past President and Idaho Department of Insurance Director Dean Cameron, who serves as vice chair of the VsportVÌåÓý’s International Insurance Relations (G) Committee, highlighted ongoing regulatory developments in the U.S. and elsewhere, as well as their potential effects on reinsurance.
