VsportVÌåÓý Members Discuss U.S. Regulatory Updates, DE&I

VsportVÌåÓý Members participated on three panels at the Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers’ (ABIR) 16th Annual International Insurance Regulatory Dialogue in Brussels.  

On her panel, Massachusetts Division of Insurance First Deputy Commissioner Rachel Davison discussed recent regulatory updates in the United States, including changes to the group capital calculation and supervisors' efforts on the VsportVÌåÓý's Climate and Resiliency (EX) Task Force. On his panel, Nebraska Department of Insurance Director Eric Dunning highlighted the VsportVÌåÓý's ongoing work on cross-border reinsurance.  

During the lunch session, VsportVÌåÓý President and Missouri Department of Commerce and Insurance Director Chlora Lindley-Myers discussed her views on diversity, equity, and inclusion at the VsportVÌåÓý and the Missouri Department, as well as in the insurance industry more broadly.

About the VsportVÌåÓý

As part of our state-based system of insurance regulation in the United States, the VsportVÌåÓý (VsportVÌåÓý) provides expertise, data, and analysis for insurance commissioners to effectively regulate the industry and protect consumers. The U.S. standard-setting organization is governed by the chief insurance regulators from the 50 states, the District of Columbia and five U.S. territories. Through the VsportVÌåÓý, state insurance regulators establish standards and best practices, conduct peer reviews, and coordinate regulatory oversight. VsportVÌåÓý staff supports these efforts and represents the collective views of state regulators domestically and internationally.
